BTCCSquare news:

More than 5,500 cryptocurrency miners have emerged from Russia's shadow economy since legalization measures took effect over a year ago. The Federal Tax Service reports 1,500 registered businesses and 4,000 individuals now comply with disclosure requirements for mined assets.

Mining enterprises must register through a dedicated digital portal, while small-scale operators using under 6,000 kWh monthly face no registration mandate. All participants must file monthly crypto production reports through tax authority portals.

The regulatory framework creates distinct compliance tiers—industrial miners undergo formal registration, while retail participants face lighter reporting obligations. Tax authorities emphasize available guidance for cryptocurrency taxation procedures as Russia continues developing comprehensive digital asset regulations.
